Hey DJ premiered in February 2025 at Gluttony, one of the largest venue hubs that runs as part of the annual Adelaide Fringe festival. A visual and sonic explosion of pure Block Party energy, HEY DJ - A Hip Hop Jam aims to wow audiences each night through nostalgic head nodding beats and jaw dropping moves!

Starring acclaimed DJ YO! MAFIA (RNB Fridays / Fridayz Live) alongside vocalist Eliza Wolfgramm (The Avalanches) plus dancers Jenna Walasek (Havana Brown), Charlotte Lewis (Jessica Mauboy) and B-Boy Sette (360 AllStars) as well as local legends shining a light on each cities talented Hip Hop artists.

This show is a celebration of the hip hop genre’s best party jams throughout the years, inspired by the block party that started it all in 1973. After 7 successful shows in Gluttony, Hey DJ is now on tour collaborating with local festivals and communities to bring the Hip Hop phenomenon (and the party!) to as many people as possible.

A renowned sneaker freak and hip hop junkie, YO! MAFIA has been killing them on the wheels of steel for a whopping 27 years.

Renowned as “The International Party DJ” she has graced stages worldwide across NYC, LA, UK, JAPAN and MALAYSIA. A regular on the Australian festival circuit, performances at major corporate and sporting events, as well as appearing on stage for the last decade at the Sydney Gay And Lesbian Mardi Gras, YO! MAFIA is unstoppable and prides herself on playing to the most diverse crowds.

Known nationally as the official tour DJ for Fridayz Live plus more recently as DJ and visual creative for the incredible Disco Club, YO! MAFIA is an unstoppable force and garnered a well stacked career after 27 years behind the decks.

YO! MAFIA showcased her visual prowess with “Back To YO! Future” a Video DJ show that combined her love of pop culture and throwback jams into a massive stage extravaganza. In 2025 she created and directed her first full blown stage show with MCs, dancers, singers and breakdancers - "Hey DJ! A Hip Hop Party Jam" for the Adelaide Fringe. It's success took the show to Darwin and Cairns and garnered huge reviews! With an incredibly original knack of mixing many media platforms into one massive extravaganza, YO! MAFIA isn't your typical DJ - each show contains layers of entertainment, visual stimulation and energy through the WAZOO!
